There has been a bit of a backlash against the microblogging site Twitter of late, with some funny bits on The Daily Show (here and here) and numerous news stories — including this cultural hit piece in The New York Times.
Personally, I find Twitter useful — this blog and our Breaking News blog are both tied to the service, allowing me to send out messages to “followers” when new posts go up.

That said, this bit of news — which I first came across in a Tweet from Ari Melber — proves that we’ve lost all perspective on technology.
