I was pondering how to respond to the news that Keith Olbermann was leaving MSNBC, ending his run on Countdown, when I read this posting from Will Bunch this morning. He says it a lot better than I could.

No! No! No! We cannot lose Keith Olbermann! He and Rachel Madow are the only voices of intelligent reasoning on the air as far as our family is concerned. MSNBC has lost two viewers except for listening on my iphone to Rachel's program. It is such a loss to the reporting of crucial issues from a believable, in-depth source whom we believe is giving fair consideration for the well being of our country and its people. It is a sad day for our family. JSP
Don't worry! As soon as his \”non-compete\” expires look for him on Fox. He'll serve, as Juan Williams does, as the foil. Unlike the Fox haters, I think that they do attempt to be \”fair and balanced\”. (If I was in charge of their marketing, I'd do a better job of distinguishing between \”opinion\” and \”news\”. I think I'd have \”Fox News\” with black and white scroll at the bottom … \”Fox News Report\”. And, the \”Fox Opinions\” with a red / blue scroll with white letters. Branding. I think that the news and opinion is muddled in programming.)My gripe with Fox is that EVERYONE is pro-war. Doesn't matter if the duopoly Political Parties are in agreement — the \”(pseudo) War on (some) Drugs\”, the \”war\” in AFPAK, drones killing people, or who know what — FOX can be counted on to support it.What is a poor little L libertarian to do?
