The consequences of cuts

New Jerseyans need to be reminded — as this story does — that budget cuts have consequences. It’s not just about an individual tax bill, but about snow plowing and services for the disabled and police officers and teachers. We have a choice.

  1. It's sad. That people have been \”trained\” to depend upon Gooferment as opposed to themselves, their families, friends, and neighbors. When I read these, i get mad at the Gooferment. Cuts should NOT come first at those depending upon them. Unfortunately, that's where the politicians and bureaucrats cut because they know they will have an instant uproar. Cuts to the fat are needed. We can't afford the cost of Gooferment \”charity\”.

  2. Yeah, how stupid of me to depend on the police and the justice system. I'll take the law into my own hands and be arresting cop, judge, jury and executioner all in one. If a neighbor is being too loud, I'll just beat the living daylights out of him because that's the libertarian way. If a car cuts me off on the road, I'll just force him off the road and then administer justice on his skull, that's the libertarian way. I'll pave the roads, plow the roads all on my own, sure that makes sense in goofball goofertarian land. Easy as pie. So in libertarian world be prepared to have your own snowplow, road paving equipment, prison complex and currency printing press, easy as pie.If your'e Steve Forbes goofballtarianism makes sense, otherwise you're a useful tool kit.

  3. >how stupid of me to depend on the police >and the justice systemYes, it is dumb. You should AVOID disputes.>Neighbor too loud. One might, in a neighborly way, ask for a lower volume. That neighbor might just be unaware that they are disturbing you. If it's not lowered, figure out how to ignore it. >cut off on roadForget it. Give the person the benefit of the doubt. It takes to to make a fight.>Depending upon Gooferment doesn't work. Look at NYC. People died waiting for the Gooferment to succor them.Sorry! I didn't make your system.
