Three miles today on the quiet side streets of Plainsboro and South Brunswick. It was gorgeous out there and if I had more kick in my legs or wind in my chest, I would have gone for a lot longer.
As it is, I ran long enough to hear a good chunk of the new Wilco disc, titled (appropriately enough) Wilco (the album).
This is a two-day diary, because my brain shut down yesterday after I finished my column and editorial.
In any case, back-to-back three-mile runs. Yippee.
Two days in a row — a victory of sorts. Yes, I got my fat tuchus out the door and on the road, doing the standard three-mile loop down Ridge, onto Perrine and then Schalks Crossing. I won’t pretend it was easy. But I pulled it off and then did some light lifting. I’m taking this one day at a time with the goal being to slowly add the mileage until I can get back to where I was more than a year ago.

It was a morning on the treadmill (it didn’t rain but it seemed like it would), three miles in 26:59 all the while choking and grunting and feeling it deep in the calves. Plus, the iPod Nano had no charge and doesn’t appear to be holding on anymore. But I did get the run in.
