Runner’s diary, Tuesday

Seven miles in about 59 minutes. I was flying, until I accidently knocked the emergency cap off the treadmill and stopped cold at 5.77 miles (about 47 minutes). I immediately reset and finished the final mile and a quarter in abouat 12 minutes.

Runner’s diary, Thursday

A slight soreness in the shins, periodic, but not overly painful, shortened the run today. I planned on seven, but managed to hit five in 42 minutes (8:24 pace). It was a pretty strong run, but I have to pay attention to the shins, do more stretching than I do now.

Music: Bruce Springsteen, Magic, with some of The River

Runner’s diary, Wednesday

I just didn’t have that much in me today. I initially planned a four-miler to be followed by heavy weight work, but I changed my mind to accommodate some scheduling issues — I was going to do seven today so that I only had seven total on Thursday and Friday.

About three into it, however, I ran out of steam. I did manage to finish five in 42:55 — an 8:35 pace.

Music: Son Volt, The Search (which I have on in the background now at the office)
