Hit the road for four miles while listening to The Police (a mix of songs from the first two albums).

Runner’s diary, Tuesday
It was a tough run, three miles that felt like 30.
I won’t be able to get out tomorrow, because I’m backed up with writing and editing. And my legs feel like over-cooked sausages.

Runner’s diary, Monday
I woke up early for a change today — lately it has been a bear getting out of bed. But that didn’t help with the run. Generally, I get up and do what needs to be done, make lunch for work, get the gym clothes together, and hit the road at about 9 a.m. And that’s what I did. And I did get in four miles, but they were four difficult and painful miles.
Several reasons, all related: My legs were still tight from Friday’s workout, which was compounded by cutting the lawn and using the weed wacker yesterday. And, perhaps most importantly, I had concert legs — two hours of standing at The Police show at PNC Bank Arts Center (more in another post).
But I’m not complaining. Much.

Runner’s diary, Friday
It was a nice morning for a run. The humidity seemed better than yesterday, though it was still quite warm. I managed four miles and then did weight work on the legs.
iPod: Moyers from a week ago on the foreclosure crisis and the Alejandro Escovedo’s Real Animal while I lifted.
Runner’s diary, Thursday
Back on the road with a three-miler today, listening to Moyers on torture.
