Runner’s diary, Thursday

I’m not sure what is up with my legs, but this morning’s run was difficult — and I only did three miles. To give readers an idea of what my legs are feeling like, I felt a twinge in both my hamstring and groing muscles on my left leg as I walked down the stairs a while ago. Maybe, it’s just age.

Runner’s diary, Wednesday

It is a wet and dreary day — but then, I haven’t run outside in a while anyway.

Today, I did three miles on the treadmill listening to a mix of music and talk.

Runner’s diary, Tuesday

I managed to hit the treadmill this morning and get in four miles (yes, four miles, woo hoo!). That’s a good first-day run for the week, even if I did take it slowly. Goal for the week is to get in four runs. That is it, no mileage goal, just four runs.

Runner’s diary, Thursday

It was a better day on the treadmill than the last couple of runs. I did three miles in 25:42 — best pace in a while.

Runner’s diary, Tuesday

I am fast becoming a lazy slug and I have to get my butt in gear. I managed today to get up and out of the house, putting in three miles. I hope I’ll have some time tomorrow to do the same, but I can make no promises to myself.

Broken Cord: An Anthology of Writing on Alzheimer’s and Dementia

We are looking to raise seed money for an anthology of writing on Alzheimer’s and dementia. The anthology will be the first project from a new small press. All proceeds will go to research and care groups. Contributors who donate $20 or more will get copies of the anthology and a mention on the acknowledgements page. Writers, we are looking for poems, fiction, and essays on dementia and Alzheimer’s. They can be from any perspective — care-givers, family, the person with dementia.
