Catching up on my reading of The Nation, one of my favorite magazines, and I came across this quotation from the Nazi Hermann Göring in a piece by John le Carré. Who does this remind you of?

Anyone remember the war? Apparently very few, as the Washington press corps focuses with laser-like precision on those dastardly e-mails. As Crooks and Liars, points out, “we have lost 19 soldiers in Iraq this month, and today is only the fourth day of the month.”
