This is an advanced copy of my upcoming column for The Progressive Populist. It is for paid subscribers to this news letter.
The column argues that there is a danger in corporate-driven censorship, which is a free-speech issue though not one covered by the First Amendment. Corporate control of speech, through social media companies and other entities, essentially transfers control over speech issues from a democratic government to a private, profit-driven entity, which is bad for all of us over the long haul.
My last column ran Oct. 15 and was on the rights of temporary workers.
