Runner’s diary. Monday

I think I’ve put life’s intrusions behind me — the hot water heater, the cleanup, the trip to the airport to get my folks — and I should be able to resume a consistent running regimen as I move through the summer. Right now, I have no race goals, though I am shooting for 900 miles by year’s end. I am likely to do two or three 5Ks in the fall and maybe a 10K — we’ll see, though.

As for today, I stayed inside and ran on the treadmill because of the rain. Did five miles in 43:23 and now my Achilles’ are tight.
