Runner’s diary, Tuesday

Two runs this week on very tight legs. I seem to be having trouble getting loose.

Ran three today, progressively increasing my pace, finishing at about 26:30 (music: The Hold Steady, Boys and Girls in America).

Yestday, four miles in 34:59, varying my pace, speeding up and slowing down every few minutes (music: a mix).

I ran three times while on vacation — not nearly enough — for a total of 12 miles.

As of now, I am significantly behind where I think I need to be in my training for LBI — I need to do an eight- or nine-mile run this week and a 10 next week, shooting for at least one 15-miler by the third week in September.
