Rant and roll

It is this kind of rant — and this, as well — that give people a bad impression about conservatives. And this invective is not out of the mainstream — just watch some of the no-nothings on Fox News or listen to Rush Limbaugh and his ilk.

Can someone can explain to me why these bits of racist blather are generally allowed to pass as normal political discourse?

  1. \”Racist blather\”? Would you perhaps explain how \”racist\” comes into my post? Exactly what IS racist about my post? If you\’ve taken exception to \’fuzzy cleric\’, then you\’d be as appalled by my noting Michael Moore is a \’fat little dumpling\’ and you don\’t even want to know what I\’ve called Rush Limbaugh. Not being bound by any particular ideology, I\’m an equal opportunity critic of the ignorant, evil or obnoxious. So, maybe next time you cherry pick a post to suit yourself? Check around the blog a bit to see what the general tenor is before you whip out the \”R\” word…and look any more foolish. You might just be giving people a bad impression about the liberal press, n\’est pas?
