Watching the game, 9

This is not an easy game to watch, though the baseball purist in me really loves it. It’s just that this is it, the end of the line for one of these teams. And the Mets need to plate a couple of runners.

Jeff Suppan has been great, tossing all-star caliber stuff, but he is Jeff Suppan, a middle-of-the-rotation guy. At some point, he has to pitch like one.

Aaron Heilmann should be in for the eighth, with Pujols due up third. He needs to keep the men in front of him off base and then be careful with the big fella.
